Lesson Plan Stop Motion
The Stop Motion Lesson is one created for 8th grade students over the course of about 8-9 classes. This lesson incorporates team work, creativity, and production value in order to create 2-4 Stop Motion Animation
Students will:

Be able to describe concept and provide details relating to stop motion/Claymation animation.

Study the history of clay and stop motion animation.

Develop a storyboard integrating concepts learned in core and encore areas of study.

Apply the concepts of animation in a cooperative production.

Use garage band to musical scoring to properly pair with a story.

Work with a group to create a collaborative artwork.

Use iMovie to complete the finished product.
Module Surrealism
The Surrealism lesson allows for students to emerge themselves into the great artistic movement and detail what they have learned through a presentation that highlights key moments in the movement, an artist of their choice along with two of their works, a drawing of their own based on the Surrealism style, a critique of their peers drawings, and a quiz.
Students will be able to:
. Recall details of the Surrealist movement such as year, influences, and key artists.
. Describe surrealism and a key artist in the movement
. Determine what constitutes an artwork as surrealist
. Design a PowerPoint that relays key information to the movement and artist. As well as an artist recreation.
. Apply surrealism to personal artworks.
. Evaluate and Critique Surrealism art.
